We appeal to you to kindly
request for expressions of solidarity with Dusan Dvorak from Olomouc in the
Czech Republic (Czechoslovakia), leader of international research and founder
of medicinal cannabinoids cannabisterapie.
Research on the effects of
medicinal cannabis studies were launched "Cannabis as a medicine" in
the fifties of last century at the University of Palacky in Olomouc. Member of
a team of scientists was also Lumír Ondrej Hanus (Hebrew University),
discoverer of the first endogenous cannabinoids.
Dusan Dvorak, as well as
other professionals and ten thousand Czech and Slovak citizens who grow cannabis
for therapeutic purposes, since 1992, systematically criminalized despite the
protests of ten thousand citizens.
Czech state authorities refuse to grant
authorization for the planting of medicinal cannabis varieties citizens, NGOs
and universities, although the police and the court asking permission to
demonstrate this.
Many celebrities from Czech
Republic, Slovakia and abroad supported Dusan Dvorak, upon request for the
Minister of Justice from 18 citizens of Olomouc May 2012 (see the link of therequest translation).
The research results clearly
show that treatment of serious diseases like cancer, diabetes, multiple
sclerosis and many other the most important factors are interactions and
different ratios of individual cannabinoids in cannabis plants. The research is
focused mainly on kanabidiol and dronabinol.
Dusan Dvorak is probably the
first European who along with Dr. Hubernákovou published evidence of the
healing of diabetic foot using cannabis ointment (in Czechoslovakia about 3000
amputations a year) and a range of other evidence, palliative, curative and
emergency treatment with cannabinoids. Unfortunately he is also the first
European who will claim the right to freedom of treatment and research to the
European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
Dusan Dvorak is convicted,
newly indicted and charged with the cultivation of medicinal cannabis,
respectively, for allegedly making illegal drugs. Dvorak's family continues
growing cannabis for patients and scientific research on a farm in Ospělov this
year.
If you can, please contact
the Czech Minister of Justice and apply the request to stop the criminalization
of cannabis research via posta@msp.justice.cz. Sent the copy of the request to the Czech Television,
radact@ceskatelevize.cz, ctk@mail.ctk.cz
and info@konopijelek.cz. Czech Television even being aware of conscious
police abuse and damage to innocent citizens remains silent and refuses to
objectively inform the public.
Thank you
